ABOUT US
RO | ROCKETT DESIGN is a full service architecture and design collaborative interested in improving, re-imagining and creating spaces, landscapes and environments. We aim for our projects to provide and evoke the spectrum of experience from utility to simple joy; places that we want to return to over and over. Our design philosophy is centered around the belief that spaces need to be shaped, lit and clothed in a way that can dynamically mediate an occupant’s relationship with the surrounding site, both near and far. We have a specific focus on the proportion of spaces, the use and registration of natural light throughout a room and the manner in which materials lend character and tactility to a place. Our studios live in Los Angeles, San Francisco and Aspen, however they function as one, thinking and producing interactively and seamlessly in real-time on all projects.

Jason was born in Cleveland, Ohio and raised in Seoul, Korea. He studied at the University of Pennsylvania, the Wharton School of Business and received his Master of Architecture from the Harvard Graduate School of Design. Jason has practiced with Weiss/Manfredi Architects, and Rogers Marvel Architects in New York City, and Koning Eizenberg Architecture in Los Angeles. In 2011 Jason co-founded RO | ROCKETT DESIGN. Jason is a registered architect with licenses in California, Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, New York and Utah.

Zac was born in Texas and raised in the wilds of Oklahoma. He calmed down when he moved to Chicago, Illinois. He studied at Miami University and received his Master of Architecture with Distinction from the Harvard Graduate School of Design. Zac has practiced with Renzo Piano Building Workshop in Genoa, Italy and Aidlin Darling Design in San Francisco. In 2011 Zac co-founded RO | ROCKETT DESIGN. Zac is a registered architect with licenses in California, Nevada and Idaho.

Morgan was born on the East Coast but raised in the Great Plains, where he received his Master of Architecture at Kansas State University. Morgan came to RO | ROCKETT DESIGN with experience at architecture firms in the Midwest and New York City. Outside of the office, you can find him seeking adventure through skiing and hiking mountains with his dog.

Dania was born and raised in Kuwait, moving to the United States to earn a Bachelor of Arts from UCLA. Prior to joining RO | ROCKETT DESIGN, she worked through various internships in architecture and development while completing a Master of Architecture from Harvard Graduate School of Design. Dania is currently pursuing architecture licensure.

DANIA GHUNEIM | DESIGNER
Sean calls Aspen and the Roaring Fork Valley home, where you can find him exploring the surrounding mountains on either a bike or skis, with kids in tow or solo. After graduating from the Pennsylvania State University, Sean has spent the better part of 15 years working with design firms in both Chicago and Aspen on a broad range of project typologies. He is a registered architect with licenses in Colorado and Illinois.

Anthony was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. With strong roots in the southwest, Anthony’s inspiration focuses on the qualities found in and of the natural environment. He received his Master of Architecture from California College of the Arts and his Bachelors of Architecture from University of Nevada Las Vegas. Previous experience includes Jensen Architects and Pfau Long Architecture in San Francisco and Hoogland Architecture and assemblageSTUDIO in Las Vegas. Anthony is a registered architect with licenses in California and Nevada.

Nick was born in St. Louis, Missouri and raised in Illinois. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from the University of Illinois at Chicago and his Master of Architecture from Washington University in St. Louis. Prior to joining RO | ROCKETT DESIGN, Nick worked at a small, interdisciplinary studio focused on residential projects, furniture for Herman Miller, and the Modern by Dwell product collections for Target. He is a registered Architect in California. When he is not occupied by his creative pursuits, Nick enjoys exploring the beaches of Northern California with his wife and dog.

NICK Kunkle | ASSOCIATE | ARCHITECT
Linda was born in Illinois and grew up in New Jersey. She received a Bachelor of Arts at Wellesley College and began her career working on hospitality and restaurant projects at Andre Kikoski Architect in New York. She moved to Los Angeles and received her Master of Architecture at SCI-Arc. Prior to joining RO | ROCKETT DESIGN, Linda worked at Shubin Donaldson and Marmol Radziner in Los Angeles. Her project experience focused mostly on high end residential and restaurant work. Linda is a licensed Architect in California.

Wayne was born in Lake Hopatcong, New Jersey and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina. He studied at the Pratt Institute where he received his Master of Architecture. Wayne has practiced in New York City and San Francisco focusing on both large-scale mixed-use and single-family residential projects. Wayne is a licensed architect in the state of New York and California. He enjoys making furniture whenever the mood strikes and getting out to surf whenever possible.

Hilary grew up in the Twin Cities in Minnesota where she received her Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Minnesota. After working in Minneapolis primarily on residential projects, she continued her education at the University of Oregon where she received her Master of Architecture. She then moved to Los Angeles and practiced with Richard Meier & Partners Architects.
Hilary joined RO | ROCKETT DESIGN in 2016
Derek was born and raised in the Detroit area in Michigan and spent time in New York before moving to Los Angeles in 2011. He received degrees in engineering and art before combining his interests in the technical and abstract into a passion for architecture, culminating in a Master of Architecture from the University of Michigan in 2011. He has worked for various Los Angeles firms in a wide range of project types during his career before turning his focus to residential architecture. Derek is a licensed Architect in California. When not at work he is patiently waiting for ski season to start and enjoying the sunny weather of Los Angeles.

Bryant was born and raised in southern California, and received his Master of Architecture from SCI-Arc. He has worked for various offices in Tokyo and Los Angeles.
Bryant joined RO | ROCKETT DESIGN in 2017
Originally from San Diego, Ariana went on to receive a BA in Environmental Studies from UC Santa Cruz. From there, she migrated to Portland, Oregon where she managed a growing retail nursery. Following a strong calling to return to California, her spare time now consists of tending to her personal plant collection, visiting gardens, and making jewelry in her home city of Los Angeles.

Treya grew up on her family’s farm in Eastern Oregon. She left Oregon to study architecture in California where she received her Bachelor of Architecture and Minor in Sustainable Environments from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Prior to joining RO | ROCKETT DESIGN, she worked for several architecture firms in Idaho with experience ranging from commercial to large industrial projects. When she’s not in the office you can find her roller skating by the beach or exploring the city of LA.
